One of the things that makes the Glitch Magic AUTOCHOPPER different from the usual DAW Arpeggiator is the Slice Length Mode.
Because the Arpeggiator can "see" the length of each slice, it can trigger playback based on their length. So longer slices will take more time to place and shorter slices move on more quickly.
This alone can sometimes make interesting results with musical material you don't want to be hard clocked to the project tempo. Things like ambient pads or textures are good for this.
For things you do want clocked to the project tempo, you can quantize the slice playback to the nearest subdivision. And you can further refine this with the Time knob which will scale this up or down. Positive values make slices overall trigger less frequently and negative values make them trigger more frequently all the way to the specified quantize internal. So if you are quantizing to 16th notes, larger negative values will trigger more frequent playback until your mostly playing back at straight 16th notes.
By automating this using the DAW or changing the Time control with one of the built in LFOs or Envelopes, you can generate polyrhythmic sequences quickly that move on and off the beat.
